Animas, New Mexico welcomes the return of its ghosts, revered ancestors who winter in Palm Springs.

These ghosts have seen too much.  They have shivered in the presence of hydraulic fracking.

They have trembled way down there below the earth’s sacred surface, a quarter of the way to hell, rolling and tumbling where those big chunks of shale keep crumbling.

The ghosts from Animas, New Mexico watch the frackers haul hell up to the surface.

Day after day they wonder why the frackers pump poisons, crank up the pressure and collapse sacred earth.
