I figure most of us would agree that the most rugged writing you do is writing about yourself.
I’m retired now after 40+ years in the media business and this blog shares bits of my writing and artwork.
It was good working in New York until I saw United Flight 175 attack the South Tower of World Trade so we went back out west where we stayed. It’s where I remain fascinated by our times, such an unsettled era, a cryptic transition, a high stakes ecological, social and economic brew.
I suppose my artwork, which just seems to show up, may attempt to consider some of this.
I’m hopeful.
Here in The American West, our history and our mythology are inescapable. We wear with them with the comfort of a faded flannel shirt. We celebrate our history and savor our myths.
